After a week of being insulted by Microsoft's clumsy grammar correct it is so nice to write a sentence that is pure uncertainty. Context is travel to an unfamiliar isle as fugitives from Celestia's wrath: "Underneath the unfamiliar Japony adornment Cadance looks at _ uncertainly."
Seriously, if you stop and think about it, she's a Princess that can have some seriously interesting stories, not only later in her life where at least one of the angles is obvious, but also early in her life.
The obvious one is how the Princess of Love will handle the passing of her husband as she's immortal, and he isn't. At least if you believe the ascended Princesses are, though according to Penalt the official word is that Twilight isn't, so its iffy if she is.
Note that this blog post will reference events through chapter 346 – Curses Foiled.
I have no idea if it is already, but I want it to become canon that changelings refer to Cadance as "The Princess of Food".

Isn't she pretty? My first pony merchandise! My mother got her for me. She knows nothing about MLP and was worried about getting the wrong one. But Cadance is my favorite princess, so it worked out!

Or Cadence if you prefer that spelling. I don't care and accept both. But moving on to what I like about her. Her origins. Canonically (if going by the show only), we don't have an origin for her. Maybe she was born an alicorn? Or maybe she was like Twilight? We don't have a definitive answer. If you want to go by the comics, then she was born a pegasus and later ascended to become an alicorn. Or you can go by the original developmental material and she was a unicorn. Fanficiton-wise
I apologize for how long the Cadance chapter has taken. I'm just... not sure how to write a Tatzlpony without including vorish elements. I'll try to finish it up within the next couple weeks. After that, because I've started the rewrite of Waking Nightmares, the chapter after the Cadance chapter for DNB will be the final one, featuring Twilight Sparkle.
...while I also edit for my sister-in-law and cut stickers for Bubble Boom's business. Which is handy, because both tasks give me a lot of frustration to work out in the form of pony words.

I normally don't mention my Stocking Stuffer Series. It's kind of the thing you just sort of accept and move on, like your racist uncle at Thanksgiving. It exists, and accepting that means half our work as done.
My last one was an interesting exercise due to me writing it at the last minute for Valentine's Day, and being on so many different medications, I may have been hallucinating a little. Stocking Stuffer 3: Candy Ass was half of that fever dream. This was the other half.
Dagger looked at the rope, making sure it was tight enough. Then, over the wall to make sure it was high enough, before jumping. The hook brought him back down against the wall.
He chuckled and looked at the reader. “If you thought I was ending it all, you got another thing coming.”
He began repelling down the side of the Canterlot castle walls, finding one room in particular. He smirked and jumped back, the rope causing him to swing back and break through the window.
The entire backstory to this is that I blurt horse words into Discord channels sometimes.
Cadance was a puddle of sweat and sexual satisfaction as she lay against Shining Armor and her pillows. She focused on just catching her breath and nuzzling her stallion. After a few minutes, she finally managed to put a few words together.
"Shiny. Sweetie. That was wonderful."
Shining Armor grinned. "Glad you liked it, sweetie..."
